Release Day Review | MANWHORE +1 by Katy Evans

BLURB
Billionaire playboy? Check.

Ruthless businessman? Check.

Absolutely sinful? Check.

Malcolm Saint was an assignment. A story. A beautiful, difficult man I was supposed to uncover for a racy exposé.

I intended to reveal him, his secrets, his lifestyle—not let him reveal me. But my head was overtaken by my heart and suddenly nothing could stop me from falling. I fell for him, and I fell hard.

Malcolm Saint is absolute Sin, and I’ve become a hopeless Sinner.

Now that the assignment is over, Saint wants something from me—something unexpected—and I want this wicked playboy’s heart. But how can I prove to the man who trusts no one that I’m worthy of becoming his plus one?

MY THOUGHTS
MANWHORE +1 offers Rachel and her bad-boy billionaire, Malcolm, a second chance after they were torn apart and heartbroken by the events of the previous novel. They start off on much rockier ground, with Malcolm weary and hesitant to trust Rachel again, and Rachel fearful that Malcolm won't be able to love her the way she loves him. They try to take things slow, easing back to the comfort and intimacy they once shared, but their incendiary passion has a way of speeding things along.

This book featured quite a bit of sex. I mean, I read a ton of romances but this was A LOT of sex. Don't get me wrong, it was wonderfully written and incredibly sexy (and I almost feel like I'm complaining about having too many sprinkles on my ice cream sundae) but I kind of wish there had been a bit more of their everyday interactions and adventures. Because there were some amazingly sweet and romantic moments between Rachel and Malcolmlike his meeting her mother and their shopping for lingerieand I wish I could have savored them a bit more. Even that scene where they spend the day reading in quiet companionship was adorable but I wish maybe there had been a bit more about their correspondence via text or some more jokes and teasing because I just love these two together so much. Malcolm really grows into his boyfriend role and knows just what to say to put Rachel at ease about their recovering relationship. Their trust and friendship slowly builds and surpasses what it once was, as does their all-consuming desire for one another. Seriously, how can the word "Dibs" be so hot?

I'm so happy that Rachel and Malcolm finally got their happily ever after and found what they never thought they would have with another human being. You can really see how they shift and change as a result of being together, morphing into better, more fulfilled individuals. There's also several hints throughout the novel of a possible budding relationship between Gina and Tahoe which I can't wait to see turned into it's own novel (yes, please)! Katy Evans really created a scorching series, with multi-dimensional characters that are flawed, vulnerable and not at all what the world expects them to be. If you're looking for a sexy as Sin contemporary romance to add some spark to your day (or night) pick up MANWHORE +1 by Katy Evans. Just make sure to read MANWHORE first for the complete romance.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Katy Evans grew up with books and book-boyfriends until she found a real sexy boyfriend to love. They married and are now hard at work on their own happily ever after. Katy loves her family and friends, and she also loves reading, walking, baking, and being consumed by her characters until she reaches “The End.” Which is, hopefully, only the beginning…
