Review + Giveaway | SINFUL REWARDS 7 by Cynthia Sax

Bee Carter has been offered everything she has ever dreamed of—a caring, lasting relationship with a handsome, often charming billionaire; the permanent home she's never had but has always craved; and wealth to buy the designer fashions she loves, support her hard-working mother, and ensure her acceptance by Chicago's elite.

To obtain what she's desired for so long, she has to do only two things: Walk away from her best friend, a woman who is destined to betray her … and end her passionate nightly encounters with a certain tattooed biker, a former Marine who can never give her what she needs.

Her answer should be clear, but the heart has a way of complicating even the most straightforward decisions.

MY THOUGHTS
Bee and Hawke are back for the 7th installment of the Sinful Rewards series! And Nicholas as well, I guess (Team Hawke Forever!). The story begins with a hopeful Bee meeting Nicholas at his apartment to discuss his plan for squelching the vicious rumors about her. His plan, as it turns out, is to have her move in with him and make it known that she is his girlfriend and therefore marriage material. His enormous ego not only has him convinced that being attached to him will silence all of the gossip, but he believes that Bee should cut ties with her best friend Cyndi to be with him. While Bee is at his apartment she also learn that Nicholas was close friends with Hawke, Bee's biker lover, and was asked to help him meet Bee but decided he wanted her for himself. Unlike Bee, Nicholas has no sense of loyalty and is willing to hurt his friends to get what he wants.

Bee seems to finally be realizing that Nicholas does not share the same values as her, nor does he respect or value the people around him. Hawke has not only met Bee's mother and worked alongside her at the diner, he knows about her rough childhood and her exhibitionist tendencies and embraces them. Sinful Rewards 7 featured some sweet scenes between Bee and Hawke at the Road Gator, Hawke's biker bar, surrounded by his friends. Having never really felt like she belonged anywhere, Hawke's friends welcome her into the fold like an old comrade, one who they respect for her own merit despite having heard the gossip about her. Though she doesn't actually realize it, Hawke gives her what she has always craved - a safe home where she is loved and respected.

And the best part of all? Hawke and Bee finally have sex! After all that lovely tension and foreplay built up in the previous books it was definitely worth the wait. When Bee and Cyndi are evicted by Cyndi's father, who believes the gossip about Bee, Hawke offers to have them move into his apartment. I'm looking forward to seeing them embrace their relationship a bit more in the next book now that their living arrangements will bring them into constant contact.

I was so happy to see that Bee is finally realizing that she is not alone anymore and that she always has options and people who will support her. Even though Nicholas assured her that Cyndi would choose her father's money over her friendship with Bee, Cyndi stood up to her father and was cut off as a result. Bee might not have a job, and there might be gossip about her that's keeping her from finding one, but her and Cyndi have a plan to start their own business. She might not have many friends of her own, but Hawke's friends consider her one of their own and they respect and trust her even if she doesn't share their biker style. She might have lost her apartment but she has a loving man in her life who wants to share his home with her and her friend and assures her that if she wants to move out of Chicago he will follow her (how sexy is that?).

I understand that Bee didn't have money growing up and never wants to feel that way again, but I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with her belief that she needs a wealthy man to take care of her and her mother. You're a grown-ass woman. Stop waiting for a man to come in and fix all of your problems. That's why Bee and Cyndi starting their own business makes me so happy. She seems to finally be taking a step towards securing her own happiness rather than just believing that money will make all her problems go away.

In case it hasn't been made clear, I'm incredibly addicted to Cynthia Sax's Sinful Rewards series and I cannot wait for the next installment to get my fix of Bee and Hawke. Honestly, Hawke is everything I want in a book boyfriend. He's a muscled, former marine, biker bad-boy with a protective streak and a dirty mouth. Doesn't that sound like heaven? I've had a strong feeling about the identity of the mysterious "Friendly" since the beginning of the series and I can't wait to see if I'm right. Will Bee and Hawke's cohabitation help cement them as a real couple in her mind and help her overcome her prejudice against biker bad-boys? There are so many questions to be answered and I'm excited to see how the story progresses (Though I really don't want to think about the series ending!).
