Monthly Beauty Favorites | September 2015

It's that time again and you know the drill! I've put together a round-up of the products I've been loving in the last month and here they are:

Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Texture & Volume Spray
This spray is perfect for adding some fullness to your hair and a slight wave that looks natural but put-together. Unlike most texture sprays this one is completely dry and doesn't leave your hair with a thick, gritty residue.

Caudalie Micellar Cleansing Water
This cleansing water has been my go-to makeup remover for the past month because it doesn't leave your face feeling oily. It feels like water on the skin and leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed. It's incredibly gentle and like all the other Caudalie products I've tried it smells amazing!

Doll10 H2Glo Highlighter in Champagne
I'm not usually a fan of glowy, dewy makeup because my skin is oily and it take about an hour for me to look dewy anyway. But this highlighter, though! It feels as light as water, with a thin gel texture that's subtle but just perfection. I don't want a highlight that'll blind people and really look like I applied makeup. I wan't a highlighter that makes me look like I'm lit from within - and this delivers. I just dab a bit on the high points of my cheeks, cupid's bow and the inner corners of my eyes and I'm set. It instantly makes my whole face look more awake and youthful.

bareMinerals Broad Spectrum Multi-Tasking Face in Well Rested
This yellow-tinted powder is amazing for setting your under-eye concealer because it really brightens things up without looking like you're hiding something. It's an extra step to take, setting my under-eye concealer with a separate powder than I use for the rest of my face, but it really makes a difference. It's subtle but anything that gets me compliments on how awake I look is a keeper.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz in Dark Brown
I totally get why this is such a cult favorite. The point is incredibly thin and precise and really allows you to mimic the look of individual hairs. It gives me the control to define my arch as much as I like and is pretty much a perfect color match for my hair. The brush end is fantastic for taming my brows and blending in the color.

Revlon Powder Blush in Racy Rose
I've been gravitating to this blush all month because it's just the ideal shade to perk up my cheeks and looks like a natural, youthful flush. It's pigmented, but not in a way that means you have to be careful applying it. It also has great longevity on the cheeks and will see you through a full work day. If you're in need of a new blush this is the one to add to your collection.

L'Oreal Infallible Eye Shadow in Bronzed Taupe
This has been in my collection for quite a few months but I never really fell for it until recently. I think the key to applying this is to dab it on with your fingers and soften out the edges with a blending brush. The formula is incredibly pigmented and the color is even more concentrated when you use your fingers. The shade is a lovely bronzed brown that's metallic and smokey but still wearable for the daytime. It's the kind of shadow you can wear all across the lids, on its own and just be ready to go.

As you can tell I've been loving products that give me that subtle oomph that makes me look put together without looking like I'm trying too hard. Plus, they're all incredibly easy to use and don't need a lot of extra effort. I'm all about fool-proof products!

What have you been loving lately? Have you tried any of these? Let me know in the comments below.

  1. I've heard FAB things about the Oscar Blandi spray. Your review makes me want to try it! Right now I'm in LOVE (like, real, heartfelt adoration) with Mixed Chicks Leave-in Conditioner. I have very coarse, dry, wavy hair (2b/c) and it leaves my hair feeling SOOOOFFFTTTT.
