Monthly Beauty Favorites | July 2015

It's that time again where I share the beauty products I've been loving during the past month. July's round-up is a bit more random than usual but features some great products that have really been working for me. Here's the break down.

Rimmel Lasting Finish Soft Colour Mono Blush in Santa Rose
This blush is the perfect pale pink color that just perks up your cheeks without being too in-you-face. The pigmentation is lovely, as is the lasting power. I've been wearing it all month because it really does work with just about anything.

Make Up For Ever Step 1 Mattifying Primer
I had a lot of events to attend in July and this primer really kept my makeup locked in place, even during a heatwave. It just gave my makeup that extra hold it needed to not slide right off my face. It's the kind of primer that's slightly tacky and needs to be patted on and left to its own devices. If you have very oily skin or your face tends to sweat quite a bit during the summer, this stuff is great for helping your makeup make it through the day.

L'Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray
This is another product that really helped keep my makeup in place during some extremely long and hot days. I like to mist on a few spritzes once all my makeup is on to just lock everything in and keep my powder from looking too cakey. Honestly, I couldn't really tell a difference between this spray and my old Urban Decay one, even though this one is massively cheaper. If you're in the market for a new setting spray I'd recommend giving this one a go. Great bang for your buck!

Juice Beauty Green Apple Nutrient Eye Cream
I picked up this eye cream during a recent HauteLook sale and have been loving it. It's not too thick or too watery and smells like apple-flavored cereal. It's been doing a great job of hydrating my under-eye area and reducing any puffiness or fine lines. Plus, I do love that it's got that tiny little pump.

Pixi Glow Tonic
As you can see from the pretty much empty bottle, my Pixi Glow Tonic is well-loved. Whenever my skin is acting out and I just want to help my complexion along a bit, this is the toner I turn to. And it makes a shocking amount of difference! I typically sweep this across my face on a cotton pad after cleansing, morning or night. It leaves my skin feeling refreshed but also helps clear up any issues overnight. It's one of my very favorite toners and I will definitely be purchasing another bottle, despite the $29 price tag. Luckily, if you'd like to try it Pixi now makes a smaller bottle size (100ml) for just $15.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
I literally refuse to do my nails at home if I don't have a bottle of Seche Vite handy. It's the shiniest, best top coat I've ever tried and my polish seems to remain chip-free days longer when I use it. This stuff is so shiny in fact that I always get asked if I have a gel manicure (even by my manicurist).

Nails Inc. Nail Polish in Porchester Square
I picked up this polish a couple of months ago but hadn't really tried it out yet. It has a bit of a cult following but I wasn't really looking to spend $10 on a simple nail polish. I found this baby on sale at Sephora for half price and scooped it up. The color is lilac/greige magic and although it's not particularly summery, it's the kind of shade that's timeless. The application is decent but I'm actually most impressed by the wear-time. I got 11 days out of my manicure without chipping. It might have been due in part to my amazing top coat but I'm still incredibly impressed and can't wait to wear this polish all Autumn long.

Eva NYC Therapy Session Hair Mask
This July I actually colored my hair for the very first time (more to come on that experience) and all the chemicals left my hair a bit on the dry side. To combat this I've been using this mask as a deep conditioner every time I shampoo my hair and it's made a world of difference. My hair feels so much softer and smoother and I can really tell the difference when I just use a regular conditioner instead. The texture is thick and extremely hydrating, as well as deliciously scented. What more could you want from a hair mask?

Those were all my beauty loves this past month! What have you been loving recently? Any new finds you would recommend? Or, was there anything you tried that was a total fail? Let me know in the comments below.
