Budget Fall Fashion Buys: Old Navy

My favorite part of the end of the summer is always checking out all the new Fall fashions that are hitting the shelves (and web). Being that I'm a savvy shopper (aka super cheap) I like to look for great deals that still embody those brand-spankin'-new trends and fresh finds. I've always been a big fan of Old Navy and their inexpensive approach to style so it's no surprise that I've been scoping out their new arrivals this month. Here are some new pieces that I think will make your transition from Summer to Fall a stylish one, without breaking the bank.

A flowy, striped top that won't let you down. It's a classic that you'll always reach for.

A more outdoorsy take on the denim jacket. It's got that barn jacket feel but with a longer length that doesn't leave you looking too bulky. Plus, you can't really go wrong with Chambray for the Fall. Pair it with some girly pieces to balance out the slightly masculine cut.

An eye-catching print with a more relaxed cut that you can just throw on with some skinnies and go.

This blouse gives off some boho vibes with its embroidery but the Chambray fabric makes it really a standout piece .

I've actually been looking for a pair of reasonably priced black ripped-knee skinnies for a few months now. Leave it to Old Navy to make my dreams come true. Plus, I'm already a big fan of their Rockstar jeans, though I have found that the thickness of the fabric and sizing does vary a bit from style to style.

THIS. SKIRT. THO. A classic plaid pencil spiced up with a daring front slit. A bit sexy librarian and a dash of fashionista. I'm all about that combo.

I own several pairs of Pixie pants from Old Navy already and might I say, they make the booty look mighty fine. Plus, printed pants are a great way to make a statement with patterns for the Fall. They might seem a bit intimidating but when paired with a black or white top they can really make you look put together.

If you're little in the middle but you've got much back Old Navy's Curvy Skinny Jeans are here to save your day.

The basic boyfriend flannel kicked up a notch with a graphic print. I do love a good print and you can't beat the chic simplicity of the black and white combo.

This jacket is seriously calling my name. Whereas most denim jackets these days are cropped, this baby is longer, with a more boyfriend / 90's look that's so in right now. It's a laid-back classic that would be a staple in your Fall wardrobe. I love the lighter wash as most of my jeans tend to be quite dark. Mark my words, this beauty will be mine.

Spoiler Alert: I already bought this top and the next one on the list. If you know me then you know I love a good striped tee (or 10) and this one is a classic that can do no wrong.

Stripes are a win. But color-blocked, monochrome stripes are a step above. Combined with the slouchy fit, this top was made in french hipster heaven.

While many people think camis and tanks have no place in Fall fashion, I think some of them can still be carried over from your summer wardrobe when paired with a nice sweater or blazer. This tank is actually a new arrival and is meant to be layered for the Fall. There's something so sexy-casual about it. You could easily dress it up by tucking it into a skirt or tone it down with a denim jacket thrown over the top. I'd probably pair it with some skinnies, booties and a leather jacket but that's just me.

Who doesn't love throwing on some plaid in the Fall? This dress has that autumnal, collegiate feel but with a silhouette that balances comfy and feminine. It's a more stylish, put-together way to channel those 'boyfriend's-plaid-shirt' vibes while still struttin' some sass.

This bag is the perfect size for going out and running errands and it's so classic and chic.

Again, no sleeves in Fall might seem a bit problematic to some people but I think this blouse is the perfect transitional piece. It pairs the structure of a classic button down with the flare of your favorite sundress. Plus, it has an easier, less-dramatic peplum that would look great with both jeans or a skirt. Just throw a light jacket on over this and you're set for anything.

Although I included the original prices for all of the items listed above, keep in mind that Old Navy pretty much constantly has sales (especially online) of sometimes up to an additional 40% off items. When it comes to Old Navy I rarely ever settle for paying full price because there's always some promotion going on. Old Navy does such a good job with trendy basics so don't let the price point or brand connotations fool you. If you do some scoping you really can find some amazing pieces that people will think you spend much more on.
