Monthly Beauty Favorites | June 2015

Per usual I'm late to the game with sharing my monthly favorites. I tried a lot of new products in June and found some new favorites already dwelling among my stash. Here's what worked well for me in the month of June.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser Starter Kit
I mentioned this cleanser in a recent post and it's been completely rocking my world this last month. The kit is such a great value because you get two muslin cloths and a carrying case along with the cleanser for the price you usually pay for just the cleanser. The cleanser itself is thick and creamy and does an amazing job of deep cleaning and removing my makeup. Totally lives up to the hype!

Onomie A.C.E. Illuminating Eye Treatment in Lovelace*
This product is the perfect hybrid of skincare and makeup. It's a pale pink highlighter with a mousse/gel texture that adds a wide-awake glow to your face. I'm usually more of a matte finish kind of girl but this treatment has made me fall in love with highlighting. Just the tiniest half pump of product is enough for your eyes and cheekbones. The treatment contains 10% vitamin C, and though I haven't seen a visible reduction in the fine lines around my eyes yet, it's nice to know that I'm wearing makeup that's doing a little something extra for my skin.

Lucas' Papaw Ointment
This past month I had an allergic reaction to Hair, Skin & Nails Vitamins which caused the skin on my neck to become extremely dry and flaky. No matter how much moisturizer I applied it pretty much instantly soaked it up and left my skin feeling itchy and abused. I slapped some of this thick, sweet smelling ointment all over my neck before bed and saw a world of improvement in the morning! Within two nights all of the flaking and dryness was gone and my neck was back to normal. I don't know how it does it but this is some magical, soothing stuff and I'm so glad I had it on hand this past month.

Pixi H2O Skin Tint in Cream
I bought this recently because I was looking for a light coverage summer foundation that wouldn't weigh down my skin and I'm so impressed with it. As with most of the products I've tried from Pixi the quality is fantastic. It really does feel like water on your skin and has an almost matte finish which kind of shocked me. The coverage is definitely very light but buildable and although there are only 3 shades to choose from, their sheer nature allows them to somewhat adapt to your skin. I like wearing this on those days when I don't really need much makeup but I just want to look put together. The price is a bit ridiculous for a "drugstore" product but luckily I had a coupon code from Ipsy. Props for the awesome pump packaging!

Elizabeth and James Nirvana White Mini Rollerball
I received this tiny rollerball by redeeming some of my Sephora VIB points and have been obsessed with it ever since. It's fresh, feminine and perfect for the summer. Floral without being the least bit cloying or old.

Revlon Super Lustrous Lip Gloss in Super Natural
This isn't the first time this baby has popped up in one of my monthly favorites posts. It's the perfect, nudey-pink, slap-on-and-go lip gloss, which is exactly what I've needed lately. Not too sticky, not too pigmented, and no need to use a mirror to apply it. I can't imagine a single person this gloss wouldn't look good on so if you're loving a more natural look this is definitely one to check out.

Wet n Wild Eye Shadow Palette in Vinyl Collection
I picked this palette up a few months back and although it was from a limited-edition collection I'm still spotting it in my local drugstore so you might be able to snag one if you hurry. The shadows are lovely, subtle neutrals with a little pop of green. I'm a huge fan of Wet n Wild eyeshadows as they usually have fantastic pigmentation and staying power. When I first tried the shadows I didn't think I would love them because they are really shimmery and even have fine glitter throughout many of the shades. Glitter isn't really my thing when it comes to makeup but I actually really love the look it creates. I tend to use the top two shades on the right of the palette for a shimmery, glowing daytime look. It's an eye palette I've been reaching for a lot lately and when layered over an eye primer I've been incredibly impressed with how the look holds up throughout the day.
