BLURB
The thrilling conclusion to the Billionaires and Bikers series!
One tiny mistake turns Bee Carter's
worst fears into a terrifying reality. She knows she isn't alone. The
sexy, honorable man she adores stands by her side, willing to
sacrifice his freedom to ease her concerns.
But she yearns for more than he is
offering. She wants a partner who will love her as fiercely as she
loves him, who will say the words and mean them, and someone who will
choose her because this is what he desires more than anything else,
not merely out of a misguided sense of duty.
Will saying no to the man she loves
earn Bee unbearable heartache or will she finally get the forever she
craves?
MY THOUGHTS
We've traveled down a long road with Bee and Hawke and I'm so sad to see that the series come to an end. That said, what a hell of a journey it's been! We've seen Bee and Hawke really grow to understand one another and amplify each other's good qualities (and dirty fantasies, of course). Bee has gone from a neurotic, clean freak who doubts her love-ability, to a cat-owning, messy-love-making, confident-in-her-exhibitionist-tendencies, motorcycle-riding entrepreneur. She starts her own business and takes charge of her future, in spite of the paparazzi stationed outside her door. And most impressive of all, she goes after her man, overcoming her fear of the dark and her personal insecurities to fight for what she wants.
Hawke. per usual, is the sweet and thoughtful, tattooed mountain of a marine that we all long for. He sweeps Bee off her feet with the most touching—and permanent—gestures, without sacrificing one iota of that protective alpha swagger that melts so many panties. There's really not much more to say about Hawke's perfection besides the fact that he will always have a special place in my Book Boyfriend Hall of Fame. I think he has more than earned it.
Much like the previous installments, Sinful Rewards 12 is a total scorcher. Bee seems more overtly vocal in the bedroom and I think it's really fitting with the growth and evolution she has undergone, and her confidence in Hawke's love of her inner pervert. With two dirty mouths in the mix things are definitely hotter than ever.
Sinful Rewards 12 also features my very favorite scene with Nicholas, Bee's billionaire best friend. I haven't been a big supporter of Nicholas in the past because he usually comes off as entitled, forbidding and selfish. Throughout the series I respected Bee for being faithful to him as a friend (even after she made it clear they would remain completely platonic) although I didn't think he deserved her friendship and would only end up causing drama for her. But Nicholas' antagonism towards Francois is hilariously adorable and one of the first times I actually respected him as a friend. I can't wait to see if he gets his own story and if my respect for him as a character continues to grow once I get to see a different side of him.
Although it's sad to say goodbye to the Sinful Rewards world, Bee and Hawke, this has definitely been one of my favorite serials I've read to date. There was so much character growth throughout the series and enough sweet, romantic moments to create a deep sense of connection to the lovers. This series was just straight-up scalding, and one I'm sure I'll revisit again in the future. I'm really looking forward to reading whatever Cynthia Sax brings to the table next and I've definitely become a die-hard fan from reading this series. I'm extremely hopeful that we'll be seeing some more flashes of Bee and Hawke popping up in future series and possibly individual series for Cyndi and Nicholas. I definitely recommend picking up all twelve installments of Sinful Rewards and reading them back-to-back, because once you start you won't want to put them down.
