May Jetsetter Ipsy Bag Reveal & Review

Just as everyone is gearing up for their summer vacation and packing for their trip abroad, Ipsy has a May Jetsetter-themed Glam Bag with everything you need to make traveling a breeze. Here's what I got and what I thought.

Bare Republic Naturals SPF 30 Mineral Face Sunscreen Lotion -
You know how sometimes you realize while doing something that it's a horrible idea but keep doing it anyway? That's the feeling I had while applying this sunscreen. It has an incredibly oily texture which took quite a bit of effort to rub in and felt like it absolutely did not belong on my face. As a body product I could probably see something like this working but not for the face. That oily feeling is just not right to put under makeup or on acne-prone skin. Just no.

Chella Eyebrow Color Pencil in Tantalizing Taupe
Unlike most of the eyebrow products I use which are dark brown, the pencil I received from Ipsy was a taupe color. I originally thought it was a mistake and that the pencil would be unusable but the color actually blends well into my brows and creates a more toned down look than the bolder brows I usually go for. The pencil has an incredibly fine point which is perfect for drawing individual hairs with each stroke. Because of the fine point and the texture of the product, I could see this running out very quickly. The packaging is slim, sturdy and light-weight, which makes it travel-friendly. It might not be the most long-wearing product but I think this would be perfect for a brow newbie who just wants to fill in some sparse patches. I do think the product could be improved by adding a spoolie brush to one end to blend out the pencil, but overall it was a very nice addition to my May bag.

Nuxe Reve de Miel Facial Cleansing and Makeup Removing Gel
A gel cleanser that's gentle and yet still removes makeup? Sign me up! It smells absolutely fantasticlike honey and vanilla and all things delicious. Unfortunately, it doesn't really work for removing eye makeup and actually stings your eyes. I tend to use this for the rest of my face and use a liquid makeup remover to take off my mascara and eye-shadow. It really works best as a cleanser than anything else and it's a great way to wash away a rough day.

Luxie Beauty Tapered Blending Eye Brush 205
If there's one thing you can always use another of it's a eye-shadow blending brush. This brush has an adorable pink handle that's long enough to balance well in your hand. The bristles are longer than on my usual blending brush and the head isn't densely packed which allows the hairs to move in different directions for a softer, more diffused look. I like using the brush for softening and blending out any shadow that has extended past my crease. The bristles are incredibly soft and feel great on your lids. This Luxie brush is unlike anything else in my collection so I'm happy to add it to my arsenal.

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone
This is the product I was most excited to receive in my May bag. I've had my eye on this lip liner ever since it was first released because it's the perfect streamlining product. Just one lip liner to rule them all. It's clear and has a balmy texture, which means you can use it under any color lipstick. It's incredibly travel friendly and efficient because you only need to take one liner with you to prep a whole vacation's worth of lip looks. Ipsy is brilliant for including this in the Jetsetter bag!

May's Glam Bag pouch is absolute perfection! It's a canvas bag with a screen print that really just gets me. There were three different bag variations and I'm really happy with the one I received. This is the kind of makeup bag I'd always want to carry with me just to show it off. Seriously, well done Ipsy.

That's everything I got! Apart from the sunscreen (which would have been great if it wasn't so damn greasy) I really loved this bag and think I'll get lots of use out of everything in it. If you would like to sign up for your own Ipsy bag, you can register for just $10 a bag and receive a monthly, individualized bag filled with beauty samples and full-sized products. You can use my referral code.

So what do you think? Was this all worth the $10 price tag? Would you wear any of these products? Have you tried any of them? Let me know.
