Monthly Beauty Favorites | March 2015

I've been on a bit of a blogging hiatus lately because of my birthday, prepping for my trip and then my vacation. But I'm back and ready to get back on the horse with a whole backlog of posts for your enjoyment. Let's start off with my March beauty favorites!

Last month I ran out of my favorite drugstore foundationCoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous Foundation and tried using some of the other bases in my stash. I repurchased a bottle from Amazon and remembered why this is my absolute favorite. Nothing makes my face look as smooth and even or lasts as long on my oily skin. If you're in the market for a new drugstore foundation with medium coverage, this is the one to buy!

I also picked up a few new drugstore concealers to try out after having run out of my beloved NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. The new standout in my collection is by far the Maybelline Master Conceal Camouflaging Concealer. It's not too liquidy, not too creamy, has a slight yellow tint which makes it great for brightening under the eyes and gives excellent coverage. And the fine-tip applicator means that you squeeze out just the amount you need, which is fantastic since a little goes a long way with this baby. I haven't wanted to wear anything else since I bought this.

I've been trying to switch it up a bit in the last month and have traded in my matte blushes for a bit of shimmer. Big, fluffy brushes can be a bit too much for luminous cheek colors but my e.l.f. Studio Blush Brush is actually the perfect size and shape for applying shimmery blush to the tops of my cheeks. An awesome find from my own stash!

This past month I got a couple of new products from Milani to try and completely fell in love with their Color Statement Moisture Matte Lipstick in Matte Naked. It's the exact same shade as my natural lips, a muted mauve, but with a matte finish that gives me an extra oomph.

After running out of my Pixi Natural Brow Duo I tried using a different pencil for a week and realized I just couldn't live without my Pixi. Why mess with perfection? Got my new duo and the love is stronger than ever.

In the last few months I've bought several new face masks in an effort to improve the texture of my skin. I bought the Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Mask on sale for around $5 and it's served me really well the past month. I've been using it weekly to help unclog my pores and remove excess oil. It has an extremely liquidy formula that REALLY needs to be shaken up. Like, A LOT. It's not the most groundbreaking mask I've ever used but for the price it definitely gets the job done.

Another cheap and effective favorite this month was the Herbal Essences Naked Dry Shampoo. It's not the best dry shampoo I've ever tried but it just might be the best drugstore dry shampoo I've used. It's the one I recommend to people who have never used dry shampoo and need a cheap way to remove excess oils and freshen their mane between washes. It smells deliciously fruity and is one of the few clear dry shampoos I've tried that actually applies clear. No white residue, blends well and leaves your hair feeling refreshed. For the price, it just can't be beat!

The final favorite of the bunch was actually a birthday gift from my brother and sister-in-law. Not only is the packaging for Sonia Kashuk's Yellow Alluriana Body Butter completely gorgeous but the smell is intoxicating. It smells like grapefruit, verbena and pure citrusy freshness. I literally sat there and sniffed it for a few minutes when I got it in the mail. The texture is rich and creamy without any kind of greasy feeling. I think I might need to pick up the matching eau de toilette for the summer months.

Those were the products I loved last month. Have you tried any of these babies? What products have you been loving lately?
