The Winter Bronzer
Saturday, January 24, 2015
With my incredibly light skin, wearing bronzer can be a bit tricky, especially in the winter when my skin is at its lightest and the lack of sunlight leaves my face looking a bit dead. The bronzers I wear during the rest of the year seem a bit too harsh in the winter and my taupe contouring blush, though it defines my cheekbones, doesn'tt add that breath of life to my face. But I've found just the thing to perk up fair-skinned faces like my own.
The Body Shop Honey Bronze Bronzing Powder in 01 is a matte bronzer with a light, golden honey color that is almost impossible to overdo. It's incredibly pigmented, with a creamy, smooth texture that makes it seamlessly blend into the skin. I like to use it to contour because the golden color is slightly warmer than the usual, typically cool, contour colors and still light enough as a bronzer that it always looks natural, never muddy or orange. Also, I absolutely love the classic, old-school look of the compact and the adorable honeycomb print of the powder itself. It's just a beaut to look at as well as to use.
So if you're a pale gal like myself and winter has you looking a bit too ghostly for your taste The Body Shop Honey Bronzer might need to be added to your makeup routine. If you are going to pick it up, keep in mind that The Body Shop often has 40% off sales so you can pick this baby up for a steal.
