Restoring My Favorite Top Coat

For those of you who have never heard of Seche Vite, it's a fast-drying, incredibly shiny nail top coat and the only one I use when doing my own nails. It's achieved somewhat of a cult status in the beauty world and I for one think the hype is well-deserved. The one downside to this epic topper is that over time certain ingredients in the bottle evaporate leaving the formula gloopy and hard to apply. But the people over at Seche, in their infinite wisdom, created a fix.

Seche Resore is the only product that will return a bottle of Seche Vite to its original consistency. Although it's referred to as a thinner, it actually just replaces the ingredients in the original formula that evaporated over time. The bottle comes with a cute little pipette that you use to add drops of Restore  directly to your bottle of Seche Vite. After adding about 15 drops of the product (a little at a time to check the consistency) I rolled the bottle between my hands and all was right with the world again!

I had almost forgotten how absolutely fantastic this top coat is. My nails had a glass-like shine that I've never been able to get from any other product. And even 5 days later, my nail color is still in near perfect condition with just the slightest chip on one index finger and the shine hasn't disappeared either! It's also said to restore other nail polishes to their original consistency without dulling the color or shine. I'm so happy to have my Seche Vite back in business and I owe it all to that lovely little bottle of Seche Restore.

If you're looking for the ultimate top coat, that gives you the speed, shine and the staying power you've always wanted, give Seche Vite a try. You can get a bottle on Amazon for 1/2 the price (which is what I did), just keep in mind that after a year or so the formula will need to be thinned out and restored.

Do you have a favorite top coat? Have you ever tried Seche Vite?
