Ulta Skincare & Makeup Haul

Last week, Ulta was having a crazy sale, so I picked up a boat-load of things (though most of them were gifts for other people). My package just came in today and I couldn't wait to show you all what I picked up.

Mario Badescu Drying Lotion ($17.00)
I've been eyeing this baby for what feels like years. I've been experiencing some hormonal breakouts lately and I'm curious to see if this really lives up to the hype. I bought the version in the plastic bottle rather than the classic glass because I'm always knocking products off my shelves, especially the small ones. I think having to clean this up off my bathroom floors would break my heart.

Mario Badscu Facial Spray With Aloe, Herb and Rosewater ($7.00)
This honestly sounded right up my street and since I've heard so many good things about Mario Badescu as a brand I knew I had to give it a try. I've been using plain rosewater for the past year or so as a perfume and facial/hair mist and the idea of adding some herbs and aloe to the mix sounded amazing. I feel like every other blog post contains me exclaiming about my love of herby things and I guess this one is no exception.

Revlon Nail Enamel in Teak Rose (Bought on Sale - $2.99)
I'm already a fan of Revlon nail polishes and thought this color looked like a nice, muted pink that could femme up some of my darker Fall looks while still being seasonally appropriate.

Nyx Butter Gloss in Cherry Pie (Bought on Sale - $2.99)
I'm already a huge fan of this gloss in the shade Tiramisu which is the perfect nude, but I wanted to try a bolder color in this formula. Now that my hair is short I feel like I need to sexify my makeup a bit. As much as I love seeing a red lip on other ladies, I'm actually a bit terrified of wearing it myself. I think that by trying it with a gloss I might be able to ease my way into the red zone.

Tree Hut Shea Sugar Scrub in Brazil Nut ($7.49)
I've actually owned this before and am so happy I repurchased it. This stuff smells like if coffee and caramel had a delicious, body-scrubbing love child. I honestly can't wait to take a shower so I can get all up in this.

Revlon ColorStay Makeup for Combo/Oily Skin in Ivory (Bought on Sale - $7.79)
I've heard so many good things about this foundation and love the fact that they make a special formula just for us oily-skinned ladies. Excited to finally give it a try and compare it to my CoverGirl Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation.

And since I placed my order during a 4 Hour Beauty Break (which happens every Wednesday from 10am-2pm), I was entitled to an additional gift with my purchase of over $50.00.

This 5-piece Philosophy gift set included deluxe samples of the following:

Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer 0.4oz.
Purity One-Step Facial Cleanser 1oz.
The Microdelivery Exfoliating Facial Wash 1oz.
Amazing Grace Firming Body Emulsion 1oz.
Amazing Grace Shampoo, Bath & Shower Gel 1oz.

And that's the haul! I can't wait to try it all and start reviewing. No seriously, I'm off to try it out right now.
