Fall Style Staples: The Boyfriend Jean

If you've become a little tired of wearing the same ol' skinny jeans and want a more casual, cool-girl vibe, why not try this season's boyfriend jean trend. I just actually bought my first pair! For a long time I thought I would never be able to pull off the look because of my curvier figure, but this season there are a ton of slimmer cut boyfriend jeans on offer that have a more feminine, skinny fit. Hell, some even have a bit of stretch so that they hug your shape and don't give you a sad, droopy booty, because that's just never in style.

Here are some of the ones I've found online that I've been coveting:

From Left to Right:

The pair that I purchased are the ones from Old Navy shown above. I've only worn them once so far but they fit really well. They hug my body where they should while still having a slightly looser, more relaxed cut. I didn't own any ripped or strategically faded jeans, so I'm happy I added a little diversity to my wardrobe.

I think boyfriend jeans work really well with just a simple tee and sneakers, but you can easily make the look a bit more sophisticated with a pair of heeled booties. When I wore mine to brunch and the movies on Sunday I paired them with a grey slogan tee, some floral printed sneakers and a moto jacket. I was incredibly comfortable but I think the look displayed a relaxed stylishness.

Are you feeling the boyfriend jean trend? Any recommendations on a pair that isn't too boxy or saggy?
