New Love | Bath & Body Works Lemon Mint Leaf Candle

Let me begin by making one thing known: I love candles. I am the type of person who, when I stumble across a candle aisle at Target or find an organic, homemade candle stand at an outdoor market, will spend the next hour sniffing and comparing scented wax. I don't know what it is. I like the way they make a room feel. The way they make a home more inviting. More lived in. More...cool.
Apart from the ambiance, candles just look good. They instantly make it seem like you put a lot more effort into your home than you probably do (Lazy Girl Logic). That being said, I am the owner of a collection of lovely, delicious smelling candles that I actually never burn.

Why, you might ask yourself, would a person who waxes poetic about her love of candles, never light them and bask in their odoriferous glory? That's simple.

I forget to light them.
Or, I'm just not in the mood for that scent.
Or, I have some deep-seated fear that I'm going to forget to blow it out or some freak breeze will attack and the whole house will go up in flames.
(Thanks for that one, Mom.)

But all that has changed. I have found the candle to extinguish all candles. Bath & Body Works' Lemon Mint Leaf Mason Jar Candle is candle crack. It is, quite possibly, the freshest, most joyous thing I have ever smelled. It makes a room smell clean, but not in a Lysol kind of way. It's the kind of clean that makes you think of summers spent in a sun-drenched herb garden. I literally carry the candle around the house with me. Wherever I go, it goes. And somehow, magically, the jar is almost completely empty. It's the first time this has ever happened to me, so I would say that speaks for itself.

I have always been partial to clean linen scents but Downy's got nothing on this Lemon Mint godsend. I mean, just look at that cute little mason jar. If it were possible to be best friends with a candle, we'd be wearing matching bracelets.

So the next time you're strolling through the mall, head over to Bath & Body Works and take a whiff of this beauty. If you like fresh, herby scents, this baby will be going home with you.

Bath & Body Works' Mason Jar Candles retail for $12.50, but they constantly have 2-for deals and reduced prices. Also, individual scents come in a variety of sizes and formats (Wallflowers, Room Sprays, Mini Candles). Their new Fall scents are out and right now I'm eyeing Sea Salt & Maple Popcorn and Marshmallow Fireside.
